You happen to be very intelligent yourself, but what I honestly appreciate about women is that this can be true even of those who aren't in any obvious way. I always think of this paragraph from The Wings of the Dove:

This was so much a necessity that thought by itself only went on in the void; it was from the immediate air of life that it must draw its breath.
