I mean what's going on in here? did someone yell fire and my ass is the only one left? seriously wtf? I must say the music taste I've heard posted so far absolutely sucks. I'm not trying to be uncool or judgmental but damn...do you people actually like each other or is this the last stop before we all die or some shiet? Talk to me you goofy mofo's. Talk to each other dang. Is there something y'all aren't sharing with my ass or am I an alien to you people? Give me a dag gone break please. My patients is about ran out. Seriously, take into account the time differential. You posted at 0905 Irish time. Most Americans (and a huge percentage of the people here are 'Muricans) are maybe heading to bed or still out drinking at this time. Join the current discussions, esp in the jokes/current affairs subforums but in the end don't expect everyone to be on all the time: people have to sleep. And they get bored.

Try starting a new thread with a subject that hasn't been tried before: that will get some interest going. But be patient. Maybe try something controversial to draw people in (though not like Batty's one of mixing pedophilia and necrophilia ffs!) and get some conversation going. It's just slow at the moment, it won't be later on. The forum goes through periods like this; we're all only human.

Except me.

I'd also add that your somewhat close-minded view of people's music tastes here is not endearing you to anyone. You need to be a bit more accepting of other members' tastes. And, why did you make two threads about the very same subject? That's not gonna help your case either, nor make you popular with the mods.

As an example of changing or trying to change your musical horizons, look into any of the spate of "rec me albums" threads springing up on the main music page, including my own, "Love or Hate?", to see how a person's preconceptions can be challenged.

Or, just keep whining and be left with no friends. It's up to you. Be the change.

This is coming from a person who professes to be a Progger but hates the band ELP, and the album ABACAB by Genesis. He hates Jazz of all things. Prog without Jazz influence is like House or Acid without a TB 303.

He tells dad jokes all the time, but can't detect Frownlandhumour and doesn't like the movie Office Space.

He also kicked me out of the Prog album review club. But all is forgiven. He does give good advice... even though he doesn't seem to follow it.
