Reminds me of this conversation I've been having with people. Because it ended with my friend saying he could imagine Freddy Krueger attacking MLK saying "I heard you had a dream, ******!"


So, the Freddy Krueger twitter account made a corny Asian joke and people got upset and started freaking out about it because 'Freddy isn't racist' and it's like, Freddy Krueger is a pedophile who tortured and molested children and spent the first whole movie sexually harassing a teenage girl, why does it matter if he's racist there is nothing redeemable about this guy? Then it made me wonder, is Freddy Krueger racist? Most people say, 'Yeah, he's probably racist, he was born in the 50s/40s.' Personally, I imagine Freddy as the type of racist who says racist **** just to be offensive. I also started asking people if they'd still watch Nightmare on Elm Street if Freddy was a blatant racist in it. Like, instead of saying bitch every other word he started saying ******. Some people said it'd make them feel too uncomfortable so I asked them why when he's already a pedophile piece of ****. They said they didn't know. I think personally it's because they really don't showcase him being a pedo, for the most part it's just merely hinted at. (They never referred to him as one, they always called him a child murderer to avoid controversy because of the huge pedo scares going on around that time) Some people said they would probably laugh if he was more racist. One person told me it wouldn't stop him because Freddy is already a despicable character, he's not supposed to be liked, he doesn't watch the movies in support of Freddy. How do yall feel? You think Freddy is racist? Would a blatantly racist Freddy prevent you from watching the movies?

Now I really wanna see Freddy Kreuger chasing a black kid down on a horse in full Klan robes.
