Not wanting to get killed was enough to make me a pacifist!

Do you think they'd mind if I graffitied a dick on one of the aircraft carriers at the local naval base?

How my countrymen can accept as normal that our country has military bases in sovereign nations is beyond me. I doubt they'd be cool if they had German army bases as neighbors.

A quick 4th of July Congratulations to all our American members before I go back to work.

Obviously declaring yourselves independent from Britain was a huge mistake which I'm sure you all bitterly regret. If only you had paid those taxes to King George, you could still be part of the United Kingdom. Imagine - you'd have red double-decker buses rolling through your towns on the correct side of the road! Still, to America's credit, you have somehow muddled through since 1776 and made the best of a bad job. Well done!

I guess as an analogy it was more like a child moving out of his parents home, than the two countries having a bitter divorce. Canada is like the child living in his parents basement.

I think the Revolutionary War is more akin to a divorce than going off to college.

Attic.

The American Revolution was the divorce but the War of 1812 was the murder!
