The Grumpy Old Man (or Woman) Thread
http://cdn.meme.am/instances/50018889.jpg
You can either be A) An old man or woman and complain about "kids these days" and suchlike or B) a young hip dude or dudess who tells us oldsters to "Can it grandad" etc and tell us why we're wasting their precious oxygen and why we should all be in our coffins by now. First off: you damn kids and your makey-up words! "Sick"? "Rad"? When I were a lad, if you heard rad you ducked and covered behind the nearest wall, and if you heard sick you called the doctor! What's next, Bad is Good? What? It is? Damn you kids for making this a world I have trouble living in! |
I don't want to sound like I'm not hep et cetera, but what is with these threads? When do you find time to take your afternoon naps?
|
When I'm playing basketball with friends and someone makes a sweet play we call him a "baaaad man"
So yes, bad is indeed good |
In my day, our inane threads were actually funny.

Isn't this thread just another version of The Bitch Box?

I love old people. Not just because they bankroll my paychecks, but also because I appreciate their blatant bitterness and at times, utter insanity. Keeps my job interesting.
|
And if you play your cards right, maybe throw a little action their way, you can get some good money when they finally bite the big one.
|
There's definitely something to that. One thing old men love more than Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights is agressively hitting on young girls without consequence.

I'm starting to wonder what the difference is between these threads and the threads started by spammers. There are a lot of these. You may have a neurological disorder TH where you compulsively create threads you thought up while on the toilet.

Back in my day, the approximate age of retirement was 65.
Now its 67. What is this world coming to?!?! |
Green beans are on sale today.

Back in my day we appreciated members that consistently go out of their way to provide healthy, clean content and discussion to a forum. Kind of a weird concept for people nowadays to grasp but boy was that a great time

I'm assuming you're not serious, but in case you are, it's pretty obvious what the difference is. I'm actually trying to engage people and get some debate going while still having fun. Oh, and have you seen my Soundcloud page? |

Back in my day, whenever someone would bitch about the younger generation we would slap them in the mouth. This generation has gotten soft.

must've. it's a word now because I said so. That red line is irrelevant because I'm better than autocorrect because I said so. god has spoken.
|
You know, "must've" is a word too.
EDIT: damn it WD |
Except, when you're saying it, it's more like "must o'", so there's no point in pretending you're actually saying "must've".

Also "must've" is a shortened version, I'm sure you know, of "must have" --- "of" does not have "v" or "e" in it... Again, stupid kids! Buy a dictionary! NO not online! Gaaaahhhhh! http://d2ws0xxnnorfdo.cloudfront.net/meme/260500 |
