Actually where I live is sand, pine trees, and heroin. Exo lives in the area you described though. We are a diverse people.

nah the pronunciation is the same. its the spelling that's been wrong. almost everyone remembers it being "BerenstEin" not the actual "BerenstAin". I have no physical books or vhs tapes of the series to prove it, but from what ive read its always been BerenstAin and somehow every child has remembered the spelling incorrectly forever.

The more I think about it, the stranger it gets. In looking for an explanation, I can only deduce that the Southern, twangy pronuncation in the intro song is to blame.

Ornette Coleman never really played free jazz as we've come to know it, even if he is responsible for the term. His music is based in avant-garde compositions that rely on some improvisation, but not enough to call him a free jazz artist.

StIn v. Stai is what I was thinking. As in "Nine" or Stain on the carpet. I'm not exactly I ever actually recall watching it to notice, to tell ya the truth.
