Water damage
I've knacked my mobile phone by dropping it in the pool, now i tried drying it out (with a hair dryer) and some of the keys dont work. The fone also isn't covered for thaty kind of damage, what can i do?
|
Buy a new one. Or take it in to be fixed. Either way you gotta pay money..
See, this is why I like my phone. Doesnt really do much, tis only a brick, but it doesnt ever break :) |
gee, my phone is damaged, what should i do? oh, i know, make a thread about it on MB
|
now now blackT. lets face it, this thread is a lot more constructive then threads about lets say "kicking the biggest animals you can to death", and its a lot more constructive then 100% of the natter you embark upon in proper music threads
now, answering the thread, if i was you id simply buy a super cheap replacement. who gives a rats arse whether a mobile phone has bluetooth and a camera. |
now now, stu, we don't need to be rude... i mean we do

no but seriously, my friend did that and he tried to dry it out but it didnt work... fixing it would probably cost more than getting a new one so id say just get a really cheap one like stu suggested..... |
Get a new one and keep it away from water of any kind. Thats about all you can do. Fixing electronics is almost always more expensive than buying new. At least in this day and age...

After switching batteries, take it to wherever you bought it and say your phone doesn't work. Don't talk about the pool, just say it's jacked up and you want a replacement. Normally you don't even need insurance and can get away with it. Or, ask to upgrade to a better phone (give them the old phone with the new battery). Probably cheaper than buying a brand new phone, and you get a better one out of the situation. |

EDIT; I have taken it back, they're sending it off for repairs :) |
