Not quite. Nu-metal is metal mixed with urban music which would include hip-hop, rap, pop, turntablism, and a few others. However, industrial simply doesn't fit that description unless you're willing to call Red Harvest a nu-metal band, and that would be laughable.

...... who let you out of your cell?!

Every kind of metal took the same amount of creativity to be created. Not every genre has the same amount of technicality involved.

I don't really listen to any nu-metal except for its roots like RATM, Faith No More, etc. But you still haven't answered my question. What determines whether something is true metal or fake metal?

Okay so if you want to take your view on metal from a rock formation or a piece of bread than that is fine for me. As for myself, well, I will just look at metal as metal with many sub-genres.

You have NO sense of humor.:shycouch:

Firstly, the whole "Rock and Roll" thing was a rip from Venom's song "Black Metal," which has the lyrics "Lay down your soul To the Gods Rock and Roll.

Secondly, I'm just ****ing with you. There is no definite thing when it comes to deciding what is true metal and what isn't. It's all opinion. I think nu-metal isn't true metal, but I do acknowledge it as true music.

I know you were playing around, but playing around in a debate is just too childish for me to even play along. So basically what you just said is that true metal is the metal you like and false metal is the metal that you don't like.

Yes. This is an internet forum, so we must be serious. *puts game face on*

No, I like both. I don't mind listening to nu-metal or metalcore. I just consider both to be separate from the rest of metal simply because they are crossovers. I'm funny like that.

And if you read more of the stuff I've posted in the Iraq War thread, you'll see that I"m quite a character.

The dumbest thing I've heard was on that Robinson show on tv.
The girls were walking on a beach going:
Look a little crab! Hit it!
Oh it died.. Maybe it will get better if u put it in the water.

The dumbest things said are, I think, the most obvious things, like, "IT'S HOT OUT HERE!" No ****!

...... I say this about 10 times a day. :(
