Anyone run linux?
So, I just bought a new laptop, so it's time for me to do a new install of linux. I run arch, because it's pretentious as ****, and also because I dig the nuts and bolts nature of the distro
Does anyone else use some form of linux? Thoughts? |

I'd say talk to Freebase, our resident IT expert. Also, maybe post here (look up) http://www.musicbanter.com/lounge/43...rt-thread.html

I've dabbled in Linux but moved back to Windows in 2013 when I got back into PC gaming. During my time with it though I alternated between Ubuntu, Mint, Manjaro, ArchBang, and CrunchBang. I managed to create an Arch install in VirtualBox but could never get it to work on my main PC because of networking issues.
It was a pretty interesting experience all things considered, but I'm glad I decided to learn it in an era of Google and YouTube because otherwise it would have been quite difficult. There was always a real sense of satisfaction when I got something to work like connecting a wireless printer, or getting a game to run. A part of me would like to go back, but I put a lot of money into my current PC for the purpose of gaming and I don't want to go through the hassle of getting everything to work the way I want to. |
