Germany >>>

Probably my favourite European country.

My friends place. This room was built and zoned as an attached garage, but after the village inspector signed off on it... Music Room!

We used to jam in his kitchen. It was a bit cramped.

My pool. Well, it's not actually mine, this is the indoor/outdoor pool for the condo association where I live. There's also a weight room and a sauna in between the mens and womens locker rooms (not shown). I had a nice swim with the GF the other day and decided to take these pics, since we were the only one's there at the time. The pool is 88° (F), and the Jacuzzi is 104° (F). It's absolutely perfect year round.

The thing about this place is that I've been swimming/working out here since 1979 when my parents moved in across the street. I was even the maintenance man for the grounds, and clubhouse right before I started school for my chosen career path in the early 90's. I had moved out some 30 years ago, but have consistently kept coming back to this place, since my parents lived there the entire time, until they passed and my brother took over. For a while in my 30's, I'd ride my bike from 35 miles away, work out here, then bike back home. Crazy. I was in pretty ****ing good shape back then though. I recently moved a block away, have been going there a lot more, and it's gonna be awesome to sit in the Jacuzzi with 2 feet of snow outside once again, while I watch the snowflakes fall in a month or so.

I hope you get a yeast infection.

I could make a hot pocket with some of that.

I think that's a yeast infection's natural habitat anyway.

I think you're on to something there:

^ That all sounds very enviable, Plankton. I'm beginning to think you must have sold your soul to the devil; Robert Johnson bargained his soul for his guitar skills didn't he? You seem to've struck the same deal and got a jaccuzzi thrown in! Sweet.

Meanwhile, this thread is building up a catalogue of great photos, and these are some of the recent best, imo:-

^ Undeniably beautiful, grindy, but like Epoch, some of my favourite buildings have an element of the shabby or dilapidated about them too. Of these haciendas, most within cycling distance of my house, my favourites are the abandoned ones:-

I was here yesterday. This castle is almost 1,000 years old, it's built on the top of a hill and looks amazing when you see it coming up. This one is quite small, I'm hoping to see some other Midland castles soon. Warwick looks fantastic.

The front entrance to the castle.

lol, cool.
