Maybe he's gone for good, maybe he'll be back, but all I know is he will be missed. If he's lurking, maybe reading this will make him smile, groan, explode in incandescent rage, or, as he mentioned in one of his last thread, **** his pants. Either way, post your memories of the guy. He did so much for the site, virtually (as I understand it) kept it together and I know he certainly helped me to a better understanding of what is and isn't acceptable here, and how to fit in better (still working on that).

Reminds me of a line from one of my favourite TV shows: "When I first came here there was a fat old bastard sat in a chair mouthing platitudes. And I'm still here."

If nothing else, he deserves a good send-off, and everyone from those of us here for years to newbies of a few weeks are likely to have crossed paths with him (many of us survived!) so let it all out people!

And the one got ignored while he was here, and now he's gone it seems the TH wants to make like he's the one bought the big salad, and take all the credit for creating a tribute to UH?, while he overlooks an Official Urban Hatemonger thread. I don't know if I should say anything, but yeah my thread came first, and once again TH subliminally plagiarizes an idea.

I wish I could come up with something awesome to say about UH? but I can't right now. Not because he wasn't awesome. It's me, I kinda can't think of anything to say right now cause I'm kinda all bummed out about all of this.

I am really going to miss that guy. I felt deep down inside he hated me. And I kinda morn not having the friendship we never had. I know he hated a lot of music I like, but I think there were few niche artist we had in common. I am wish we convo a bit more. UH? thanks for the lulz.

Without getting too upset about what you're saying, let me explain why I created this thread. For all the good it did.

The first thread you relate to is and was a joke thread, made in response to my Batlord thread, so I didn't feel that was an appropriate one to "mark Urban's passing" as it were. The one he started himself had pretty much degenerated into off-topic chat and I didn't feel either that that one would work so I started a new one, complete with cool Viking funeral picture.

I was, and am, not trying to claim anything. If someone else had started one I would have been happy to contribute. I am not a glory seeker (LOOK AT ME! ME! MEEEEEE!!!! OVER HERE! YOU'RE NOT LOOKING!!!!) and I would appreciate it if you, and anyone else, ceased trying to climb into my brain and ascribe motives for the things I do. I merely wanted to provide a thread where people who had stories to share or memories to impart could talk about one of the most important members on the site ever. The fact that it got laughed at speaks, I believe, more to the general attitude here than to my own mindset.

Anyway, it seems nobody cares so so what. But don't tell me I was glory hunting please, as I was doing nothing of the sort, and it's a pretty shallow and silly motive to take from my creation of this thread.
