It's basically feign interest. It's when you "woot" a song that you wouldn't otherwise if it was played by another person, however you do so for your friend to avoid any salty feelings.

Mondo and Frownland didn't woot 'Baker Street' the last time I was in plug. Unbelievable I thought.

I would woot that song twice if I could.

If the song is bad enough I use the snooze function, and go hunt for the next song I'm going to play.

I actually have "meh"'d before but generally I woot for the sake of it. I haven't been to plug, or MB that matter for ages. One day you might see me there. The times I tried before no one was in, damn time zone difference.

Perhaps you could just the once, and use the experience for an entry in your journal: what songs you enjoyed/hated, how interacting with others while listening to their choices in real time affected your experience, whining like a bitch about me playing Dying Fetus, etc.

Best parts of Plug are getting turned on to new music (Snarky Puppy!!!) and chatting to MB members in real time. Unlike a lot of the stuff that goes on in the forum (which is a lot of members semi-role playing a lot) people seem to be more like themselves in Plug.

I actually look forward to hanging there with a cocktail. Good times.

Well not everyone, I hate it when The Batlord joins in cause he does his same schtick in plug and trolls like it's MusicBanter. I never seen him act more like himself in plug, ummm... unless he's that way in real life.

I think Chula is kind of right. I'm not role-playing but the forum lends itself to different parts of my personality.

I am not disagreeing it has a different vibe than MusicBanter. I've been plugging for two years, and I've seen a lot of people say the same thing about being a little bit more chill, but then again I have seen times when it's just like MB.

I've also never seen a plug session descend into a twenty-page argument about race, politics, movies, or the quality of MB's moderation.
