That's so true! Chatting with strangers doesn't mean you'll become bosom buddies, but it sure can be interesting and every once in a while, you meet someone you really click with. Of course, sometimes the meeting is the easy part: once you get to really know people, that's when the problems start! :p:
I just read this amusing tongue-in-cheek "study" from Stanford about how inappropriate it is to talk to strangers: "It's Not Okay To Just Start Talking To People You Don't Know." At first I thought it was real news until I noticed that the site's weather forecast says, "66 degrees, as*hole clouds refuse to form bunny shapes."

^ I thought this article was funny considering that last week one of my most recent chats with strangers began like this:
She: "I like your glasses."
Me: "I like your purple hair!"
My favorite "chat-with" strangers are grocery store cashiers because they can't leave and they are usually bored, so it is easy to get them talking.
