Aww, that's kinda sweet and amusing about your name-on-a-cake mini-anxiety attacks that you used to have! I'm glad you fought through that, ELIZABETH.
I would like seeing my name on a cake. I don't mind being a center of attention and sometimes quite like it. When I'm in a social group, I like to talk to express my view; I don't hold back. I also like trying to play off people's conversation topics in attempts to amuse them and take the topic in directions that they seem to like.
When I'm in a group of people in a meeting or in a social situation, I generally am the first person to talk, such as by making introductions to ensure everyone knows everyone and to start the conversation rolling. I get a little impatient when people seem reticent to talk and so I jump in quickly. The main way I've been described by people who know me is: "She takes the initiative."
I'm rarely LOUD, though. I think of myself rather as "vivacious." :)
However, I am generally quite nervous about public speaking when it concerns a contentious topic, but the importance of a cause motivates me to do it, making me brave. I don't like conflict because it upsets me emotionally, and so I try to figure out ways to resolve disagreements without emotional upheaval.

I'm definitely not loud but I'm definitely not quiet. I don't typically initiate conversations with people I don't know, but once the ball's rolling I can connect with pretty much anyone if my crippling self-doubt doesn't interfere.

We're different here, because I routinely initiate conversations with people I don't know. I strike up conversations with people in the grocery store, people on the street, people in busses, people sitting at tables. I'm not at all shy with strangers. I like them!
