Poll: How Do You Discover New Music?
The results of this one-question multiple choice survey will be used for a future article I'm writing on music culture and technology. I'll be sure to feature it in my MB journal.
It takes all of 30 seconds and I appreciate all who'll participate... for science. UPDATE - Trollheart and Frownland made some valuable suggestions and now the new-and-improved version is up, HERE! (Mods - if there's a more appropriate place for this music poll please advise.) Thank you!

Filled it out, but would recommend a "thank you" or "result" page, as it seems to do nothing and you're not sure if you have actually voted or if the page has just stuck. Also, would think maybe do it in levels -- highest percentage for your most common way of hearing new music , maybe as a 1- 10 sort of thing?

I've only had 13 responses (~80 votes) thus far. If anyone knows of a better polling app there's still enough time for a reboot. I'll look around.

I'll use allmusic.com a lot. If you look at the biography page of a current fave band they give you a list of similar artists. I then check out the reviews on amazon.com
EDIT: Allmusic has changed their format and no longer recommends bands. Otherwise it's from forums and lately, plug.dj

I filled out the poll for you. Frownland made a similar thread a while ago (minus a poll) which might be of interest to you.

Frownland you are amazing (once again.) I've rebuilt the survey with each of the features Trollheart, you, and I discussed - it now includes constant sum sliders, does not require FB, and a definitive COMPLETE - THANK YOU style screen.
And it was free. Please give it a try and let me know if you think it's ready for wide publicity on all my social networks. I'm looking forward to the valuable data it will provide. Thanks again! Take the test!
