Correct, also if nuns caught you wearing them they would grab by your sideburns and take you to detention.

you also ALWAYS had to wear your shirt tucked in and you couldn't even wear pants that were too baggy, you had to look like a dork.

On contrast, public schools were all about the sneakers and the outfit
