If you didn't see it coming you deserve to have it spoiled for you.

How about some "Best" Dad moments? This might get a little sappy, so if you're not into touchy feely, then you might wanna stop reading here.

The day my daughter was born, I had a job interview. I left, got the job, came back to the hospital, and she was born. The doctor cleaned her up, and put her in my hands. I held her up, and we looked at each other. She smiled at me. I smiled back at her, but with tears in my eyes.

In the middle of a show at a residential home when my daughter was 6, she came running up to me yelling "Daddy! Daddy! Help!". I stopped right in the middle of a solo, and asked her what was wrong. She said some little boy was chasing her and wouldn't leave her alone. I nodded to the band, and left to take care of the problem. Daughter>Music

Rescuing her from her mom when her mom was out of control. She'd lay on my chest as I held her to comfort her as her mom threw dishes, and glass wear all over the house while yelling and being manic. I'd just softly sing to her and tell her it's going to be alright.

Countless nights of back rubs as Enya softly played in the background while she drifted off to sleep.

I bought her first car a couple of years ago, and she takes better care of it than I do my own guitars.

These days, the best Dad moments are when we go out for breakfast, or when she calls just to tell me she loves me.

The moment I truly fell head over heels in love with my daughter was a couple of days after we brought her home. It was the middle of the night and I gave Linda a break and got up to do the bottle. House was super quiet and mostly dark. Was sitting in a big rocking chair feeding her and she grabbed my thumb really hard and stared straight into my eyes for the entire time.

She's had me ever since.

When my daughter was around 5 months old, One day me and her mother was watching her sleep and talking about her and for some reason she abruptly woke up gave us a smile and then slammed her head to the bed and kept sleeping.

Her mother and me just started laughing cause it came outta nowhere and cause i nap the same way.

Thank you my friend. Not trying to be a hero, being a good Father, and raising a child to become a responsible adult is something I can't not do. It's my M.O. and everything else in life comes 2nd to that. No matter what.
