Save Overtime Pay
I dont think it is to late to show anyone this:
Dear Friend, President Bush is about to finalize changes in the laws governing overtime pay that could take away overtime protections from at least 8 million people. His changes will cut paychecks for families, erode the 40-hour workweek and encourage employers to require more overtime work. The changes include a new "military penalty" that would allow employers to use military training as the basis for cutting overtime pay.
Please sign the online petition opposing President Bush's overtime pay take-away by clicking on the link below. http://www.saveovertimepay.org/ We all need to get involved before these important workplace protections are hurt. Thanks.

Do you actually understand the problem with it? This also applies to minimum wage. Whenever it is raised the government automatically gets more money, thus the reasons democrats push for it. In a strong economy their would be no need for minimum wage, wages would never go up (excluding like a pay increase after working there for several months or something) and prices for goods would never go up. You keep raising things like the minimum wage and you royally **** the economy up, thus the democrat wasting machine. Welcome to the world of economics...

Interactive: I dont think there ever has been or ever will be an economy where prices of goods don't go up...The economy constantly follows a cycle, and Inflation is a part of that cycle...then prices go down....usually the economy skips the bottom part of the cycle tho (Depression) but that doesn't always happen (ex: 1930.) :P

Not true my man,Englands economy was/is the strongest in Europe and was also strong against the dollar for a long long time and we have a minimum wage. Its a nice concept the minimum wage,a fair wage for all,but in reality all it did here was turn a lot of full time jobs in to 2 partime jobs. Bush is mad though eh?? You would of thought that more people earning money on overtime would mean more tax dollars to pay for wars etc etc |
