Default What's your forum routine?

I just wondered if anyone has one like I do, and what it is. When you log on, what's the first thing you do, what threads/subforums do you check first and how do you proceed? Are there certain subforums or threads you ignore, never go near, or always want to read? Is it always the same every day or do you vary it? Stupid question yeah but it might be fun. Or not.

Anyway, here's mine.

First I look for PMs. Usually none. If there are any I get all excited and check them out, usually to find they're from people asking me to review their music or with some question about journals. Though not always of course.

PMs read, I may respond if they require a quick answer, if not I put them on hold till I have time to properly address them. Next stop, surprisingly, is the Journals. Check what's updated, skim through a few entries, see if anything I uploaded has been approved yet. Look for any new journals or old ones being resurrected. Fume if there's any spam. Move on. Check the Editors Pick to see if anyone has posted in the Update Thread for the Journals.

A quick look at General Music, though there's usually nothing much there I'm bothered with, then into Rock and Metal. Check "Riff wars", "1001 albums" and the "Metal survivor" threads, look at any others that might interest me. Check the Prog subforum, nothing happening so it's on to the Lounge.

Check threads like "The Bitch Box", "SYG", current favourites "Hell date", my computer thread and so on. Move on into Jokes, check out the avatar thread and then maybe the Current affairs one, though there's usually not too much there to interest me. A quick look into Sports to check the "English football" thread and then anything else that might be interesting to me, such as Album Reviews or Announcements.

And that's my day. Rinse and repeat. Boring huh? But I get stuck into a routine and in a way it's kind of comforting.
