in any case, the bands that you listen to are so rare and oscure that i my opinion you really only have 2 people who will ingage you in an interesting and stimulating conversation : hookers and sweet jane....and on a very rare occasion someone else ( like me...clor sounds promising btw, i'm eagerly waiting for the album )
as for me, unlike you i don't really spend that much time searching for new music and i've already disscused most of the stuff i listened to, so at this point my posts serve only for the purpose of mingling with people...and i don't think it's a bad thing, if the topic is interesting ( which cannot be said for most of the topics in the lounge...edge-you're running out of inspiration! )
why have i bought this up, because until now it wasnt causing me to overlook 80% of threads on here. now im interested in about 15% of the stuff on here and of that about 80% of it is in the indie forum. so thats why im bringing it up. and this was exactly what i was going on about earlier. people complain that the music i/others list is too obscure and unknown- that you cant engage in conversation because you know too little about the bands in question. well in that case, simply click on the links we provide or type the band into a search engine- explore them a bit- then comment. its not too difficult and you may actually discover something that tickles your ear drums. im done with this thread. obviously not getting us anywhere.

i understand where your coming from stu, i think all the backlash youve been getting is from people defending this site that youve been talking so bad about recently. Honestly I agree with your point of view, just not to the point where i think all hope is lost, Ive seen the quality fluctuate a few times since ive been on here and its always bounced back so far.

im not actually a very serious person at all. i like my music, and i find it hard having fun when half the threads made about decent bands fall flat on their bottom- that is all...yet im still here so maybe im deluded.

oh, and about the new stuff, to be quite honest you dish out way too much stuff for me to go check it all out, and we have very different tastes in music, but if something sounds interesting ( like that band you just suggested with the electro sound ( i'm kinda in to that right now )) i'll certainly check it out....but you know ,proper research takes quite a bit of time....and i'm so tired now that i'm home and working my ass off....

lol, todays posts havent been too terrible with a few exceptions, but for the most part i think alot of music has been thrown around mostly due to Pastor. Ive come to the conclusion that mb is going to have its good and bad days just like any other message board ive been on.
