i havent been here long enough to know, but i think that the point about summer and vacations etc... is a valid one and this lack of activity is a cyclical thing......

LedZepStu can't leave!!
He's the only person on here who has interesting conversations with me when I post in the Indie forum.
And he's the only person who shares my love for The Libertines and Pete Doherty.
Seriously, he does the Folk forums along with Big3 and adidas......
If he went this forum would be a much worse place.
Hopefully he'll stay because he's very musically inclined and I like what he has to say.

On another note....
I believe the forums are going through a sort of hiatus maybe....
Because I mean when mb was small last year no one could just google it.
When not many people google it you don't get so many post-whores and stupid newbs.
But now...people advertising google "music forums" and this is the largest one so they post their crap on here.
Guests also see that this is one of the nicest music forums and join.
Most of these guests know nothing of music and aren't willing to learn.
This is why the lounge is receiving so much pollution.
That's my conclusion.


Isn't it ironic that I'm posting all this in the lounge?

Well, maybe there's just nothing interesting going on so people post crap? I dunno... i just come and go as I please... not in here that often anymore... Music's not that interesting at the moment.... I've gone back to listening to all my old albums...

I do that every summer. I dig out all the albums that I used to love so much... Im completely hooked on the chilis again now, which is awesome.

I disagree with this.

I think if there were more non music forums where people could talk about other things then people would be more likey to stick around here.

People only go whoring in the lounge all the time because thats the ONLY place you can go on here to discuss other things.

Don`t get me wrong i love music , but it`s not everything. Why not have other forums where people can talk about films , books , tv , sports etc etc etc , I even suggested an unmodrated forum where people can go & make stupid threads & just generally mess around.

You incorperate that , yes you may find people posting less in the music forums , but you`ll have more to keep people here.

In my opinion more people posting occasionally is better than the same people posting ALL the time.
