I don't have a vast well of experience to draw on, but…

Who?
Extremely religious young lady about 5'2", glasses, a year older than me. Imagine LiL with slightly shorter hair, and you'd have her (except for the religious bit).

What?
Outdoor Christian rock concert on the last day of summer.

She's one of those girls who seem shy at first, but turn out to be hyper. There was this punk band who played a set, and she was dancing around like a groupie.

We're still dating (that was our first), so it's not that I don't enjoy her company, it's that
  1. I don't really enjoy punk.
  2. I don't really enjoy contemporary Christian music.
  3. I don't really enjoy concerts where everyone is jumping around screaming, "Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!"
The outcome? I had to listen to a steady diet of Dave Brubeck for a couple days afterward to soothe my eardrums.

Yeah dude. 7th grade was weird. Feel free though. We're all friends here. I mean, you're in my signature after all.

How is it possible to sound like such a dweeb while complaining about Christian rock?

I can't actually remember any bad dates. Usually what went wrong for me is going to hang out with a guy as a friend somewhere and him desperately trying to hit on me.

A guy? As in singular? Well no wonder they hit on you. If you go to "hang out" with a guy all alone, there's one way they take that.

No more like just big hints and trying to impress me.

*sigh*

If you make plans to hang out with a guy all alone, there is only one way they interpret that.

Especially if he "hangs out" ...
So you're saying a guy can't be a platonic friend to a girl (even one as hot as Vanilla) unless he's in a crowd? Or is this just you, speaking for all maledom?
