Default Help me with boundries.

As a soon to be 55 year old dude is it OK for me to comment on the pictures that the ladies here, all of whom are decades younger than me, post?

I started out doing it but now am apprehensive.

(WWWF posted a killer shot that I wanted to comment on but I didn't)

The ladies would be the ones to say definitively, but I would tend to think that as long as it's only compliments you're offering, there should be no problem. Even stuff like "nice rack!" will usually be ok, as long as the woman in question knows you're just complimenting and not perving on her (like me!)

You know what women are, with regards to compliments, according to Homer: "Greedy, ravenous monsters always wanting more, more, MORE!!!"

Seriously though, I doubt any woman (or man) here would take offence to being called pretty, sexy, fine, whatever. We're not that PC!

Subconsciously, Chula Vista calling Steph could arise from two different things 1. he is secretly calling Steph Wolverinewolffox or 2. he thinks Steph is a fan of 70s wrestling like he was.

Heh, I was hoping someone would notice that.

I get why you're apprehensive. I don't comment on them (ok, rarely) and I'm mid 20's.

But go for it man. I have ticked the top option.

I gave WWWP a emoticon. I imagine it's creepier coming from a 14-year-old than a 55-year-old.

You can comment on things without being creepy. "You have nice eyes", tada. Never really thought about since most of the people are around my age, and I kind of established myself with the members who I posted about before I said anything. I don't think generalizing is the right approach. You should base your commentary around the relationship you have with the member in question and use your best judgement to decide what is and isn't appropriate. If other members get pissy over your comments that have nothing to do with them I wouldn't sweat it, it's really not up to them.

Admittedly, I did make a couple mistakes early on thinking I could get away with certain comments just because of this particular forum environment. You've been here long enough to have a good idea about what will and won't set people off.

As long as she's grown you gotta be really uptight to be worried about it. Being attracted to 20 year old women isn't any more shameful than enjoying a good meal or a warm spring day or whatever. It's just normal.
