Ya, same here. 9/11 was the first time my daughter saw me cry.

9/11 was one of the most absolutely gripping things I had ever seen on tv. Class was essentially cancelled for the day because nobody could really fully absorb what had happened and it was just so shocking to see someone fly a fucking plane into a building.

It was raining that morning. My (grade 7?) social studies teacher, who was typically a loud-mouthed republican asshole, said nothing. Nothing. We all sat in silence.

Does anyone remember watching Princess Diana's funeral? I hadn't sobbed so much as a child, as I did over that.

Yeah. Got a bollocking off my dad for telling a Diana joke I heard off someone in school. I was 8.

Unreal thinking about 9/11 now. Seeing that live on telly (I didn't see it myself cos I was in school but the fact it happened like that).
