I write poetry and submitted a poem to a Poetry Magazine and the edior loved them and wanted me to send more poems so he could publish them. But I was too lazy and never did. I can scan the letter and show you if you want. I have so many poems I could fill a big book. I also started writing a book about depression and opiate addiction but never finished. I would love to get back into writing. I want to write a fiction book.

I have been published three times: (a) a letter to the editor for a national magazine, (2) a letter to the editor in my local paper, and (3) one extensive article for a student newspaper about a new building development involving their IT department at the time.
Other than that, I've set up various blogs about various things over the years, but I've never kept up with any of them. I got some skillz when I wanna, but largely, I find that I only want to write something if I'm passionate about it. Writing for others about random topics, as in journalism, I found to be tedious and boring, particularly because I felt forced to have to write, instead of want to write. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of fiction, so I'm not motivated to write any of it. I find that I'm more interested in technical writing and turns-of-phrases than elongated, exaggerated writing that takes a lot of unnecessary avenues to say what it needs to say. |
