Thanks guys, it's really not as impressive as it sounds. I worked for five years in the book industry, connections and zines abound.
Edit- re: The Feeling Seller, that piece got such a great reaction around here I was inspired to continue the story, perhaps I'll revisit that this week. |

I wrote some short stories in high school, but I haven't written much since apart from some poetry. I have a few ideas I've started but not finished.

It's in my blood--my dad's a published author and currently a freelance journalist--but I actually don't write much except in my journal (a real one, not The Scrap Heap) and the usual essays, reports, etc.

I had forgotten about articles. In high school I served two years on the school newspaper, one as a staff writer and another as an entertainment editor. Last semester I was on the writing staff for my college paper, which was published weekly so I had 10 or so articles published last year. Here's one for those interested (I won an award for this one):

I've been considering freelancing for music websites or starting my own blog as well.

I used to write quite a bit but I've been really uninspired and disheartened artistically for an upsetting amount of time. Every time I try and go back to it I feel fake and like I'm forcing it.

Hmmm, that may have been dangerous advice considering who I am talking to. |
