He deserves it, he won the Nicest Member Award... and this thread couldn't been started by a nicer guy either.

Well I would rather have Blaro teaching down in Central America than say The Batlord, who would only be corrupting the morales of minors.

@ Blarro - I know you said you wanted to go back, but are you ever going to? I like being able to say I have a saint for an internet friend who I never mention to anybody. Also, I seem to remember it was a Christian ministry thing. What denomination? I don't have much respect for organized religion in general, but some aspects of it I support, and i'd like to know which denominations to give actual credit to. Whether or not they're pushing Bibles on people, so long as they're feeding them and giving them medical care then a little indoctrination is a small price to pay... assuming they don't go nuttso with it of course. I just hope it's not one of those, "Hey, here's a Bible. We'd give you food, but the Word of the Lord with fill your belly far better than any petty, mortal food." I don't see you as one of those fanatical *******s, but atheist mistrust runs deep. I actually thought about joining the Peace Corps at one time, mostly as a selfish way to escape real life TBH, but quickly abandoned the idea when I found out that it was really more about dropping pretty much one single guy in the middle of third world hell, competent in languages and whatever form of specialized learning would be most helpful to the natives. Definitely sounded way above my pay grade, but if someone who I'm pretty sure had either just graduated high school or was somewhere in the middle of college can do it, then I'd be interested in toying with maybe doing so. Assuming of course that the church was willing to deal with atheists who just wanted to help/get native dope without having to convert. Not saying I'm some good Samaritan, but I'm a self-absorbed, spoiled Western kid in need of seeing the real world outside of the American bubble. A little cavalier adventurism is inescapable I imagine.

I was expecting you to be some weirdo religious whackjob but now that I've got to read a good amount of your posts and plug I think you're a nice person. Thanks for not pushing your beliefs on us and hating on our sometimes highly insensitive/sexual humor.
