Default What's Wrong With You?

Shamelessly taken from a poster on another forum. What disabilities, long-term illnesses, health problems, whatever, do you have? Obviously only share to the extent you are comfortable.

If mental illness counts I've had 8 years of straight depression. The reason I mention that is because it's also what really got me into music.

Oh, I'm missing a foot for whatever it's worth. That's my contribution to this thread.

My mood fluctuates quite a bit, but yeah more down times I've discovered some great music.

Anxiety. It gets so bad that sometimes I don't even leave the house. I'm serious.

I like to call this my cumulative list of reasons I shouldn't procreate.
  • I'm peripherally blind and the vision I do have is absolutely hopeless and worsening (my depth perception is slowly deteriorating, too).
  • I have celiac disease. My body can't digest gluten.
  • I also have carpal tunnel. I call my left hand my cripple hand because it's worse than the other.
  • I struggle with anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and a constant feeling that the world around me isn't what it seems. I have a hard time focusing on anything for more than a few minutes these days, and I feel as if I'm sleepwalking almost all the time - as if things aren't happening in the "real world". For a short time I was given a treatment regimen for paranoid schizophrenia. I gave up on it. I'm still harassed by shit in my head and I don't trust people at all.
  • I become addicted to things with a greater severity than a normal human being. I become obsessed with certain orders of things to a greater extent than would be considered healthy. I fully and deeply enjoy the pleasures of drugs and alcohol.
