Yes, there is that. I have a fair number of things amiss, I suppose.

Bodily health? I'm okay. (at least I know I'm HIV negative)
Spiritual health? I've got a lot of fucking problems.

I'm blind as a bat, which still seems to be a desirable quality in humans judging from the complements I've gotten on wearing glasses?

Socially awkward to a painful degree, I can't help but get nervous around people I don't know on a personal level, but I've learned to fake it, unless I'm speaking to a crowd, which is virtually impossible without medication.

Probably as a remedy to the latter among other things, I drink everyday. Obviously I'd like to amend that sometime soon before it destroys me completely, but I honestly have little motivation to do so at the present time.

No, you don't, darling.

Aside from needing to keep me in line, of course.

what kind of medication do you take for that?

that reminds me.. i don't have any social anxiety around random people and talking to them one on one or in a small group but i can't do public speaking well at all. i tend to focus so much on how i sound that it makes me forget what i'm supposed to be talking about. people always say "oh you'll get used to it, it just takes practice" but i swear i never get used to it.

one time in business class i had to do a presentation on eco friendly business and my fly was down cause i had just taken a piss and then i noticed it was down mid presentation and out of instinct stopped what i was doing and zipped up without trying to hide it. and then the whole class was cracking up and i was like "****, that threw me off. i forgot what i was supposed to be talking about." and the weird thing was after that i felt pretty comfortable giving the presentation cause it was like i won everybody over by making an ass out of myself right away.

I've tried a few.

Initially my doc gave my fluoxetine for just general anxiety symptoms which really didn't do much quite honestly, especially for higher pressure situations like public speaking.

On a second visit she suggested propranolol, which essentially helps control high blood pressure. I've found to be very effective in preventing the type of unwanted reactions that manifest when you're in that kind of fight or flight situation, like a racing heart, red face, sweating etc. I brushed it off and asked for xanax instead, which she reluctantly gave me, and rightfully so. In going back for follow up visits, I've found the propranolol is far more effective in helping with the physical symptoms of anxiety. xanax might be helpful with mild, situational issues.
