Does Anybody Here Have A Listening Room.....
My Daughter recently moved so I turned her room into a "Listening Room" A few framed rock star pictures on the mantle and I moved about 300 of my albums into it. Two chairs, two large JVC speakers, my turntable and receiver.....
What a simply wonderful use for a empty room. I usually turn out all the lights and position 22 of those little plastic flicker candles on the window ledges and mantle area. It is a wonderful way to just concentrate on the music that is playing.........Does anybody here have a nice relaxing "Listening Room"? |

When we first moved into our new house, me and a lady friend listened to music in every room of the house. In the living room, in the bedrooms, the bathrooms, on the kitchen counters, by the fireplace...

Yes, although I emptied it in preparation for some drywall repair and a new paint job back in July and I repaired the drywall but I've been slacking about getting around to the paint job.

I do most of my reading, listening, and MBing in my bedroom, next to my aquarium. It's a relaxing atmosphere.
You should give it a bunch of psychedelic swirls.

No need, I have more than enough psychedelic show posters to cover most of the walls. I just have to get some more frames to put them in.
I used to know a guy who had one of those. He wound up getting rid of it after a few years. Said the upkeep was too expensive. Had to pay a small army of dwarfs to maintain the place and mentioned something about bratty teenage girls getting stuck in the pipes. |

If I had a spare room I'd probably make it a music / listening room. I've seen some pretty killer ones over the years.

Usually use my room for listening to music among other things, also have my guitars, amp, and keyboard in there so it's fairly cramped, but it works. Also I should add I'm usually playing along with albums I have on makes it more fun.
