Oh yeah, that's what it was. I guess I just didn't care. What a coincidence. I know a dog named Jessica too.

@CV, b.o.f. has an intensely personal and deep meaning to me. That's why I almost always use her as my avy.

It's really Frankenstein, that resonates with me. I saw the Boris Karloff film when I was 8 and never got over it, read the book as a teen and fell more in love with the meaning behind it. The monster, never asked to be created, and was never taught the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, it was sort of something he learns throughout the story. I know the feeling to be left alone to your own devices, I know the feeling of looking at ones own self and realizing there is a monster staring back at you, I know the longing for companionship, even if it's with just one other person, someone you truly understand and that truly understands you. I know what it is to run the gambit of human emotions from all out rage, to having so much love inside you if you keep it hidden you are going to burst. I know what it is to be chased, and hated by small minded simpletons, mistreated and abused. So I understand Frankenstein on a level a lost of people never look at. B.O.F. was beautiful, and most people don't see that about her either, until my avatars are practically naked.
Also I have thought about writing a book, but its quite embarrassing. I was doing a little on line digging the other night, and I found a site that has my family name plastered all over it. My 'mother' was their treasurer for 25 years. My family lost 600,000.00$ to them, I grew up uneducated, isolated, friendless selling those pieces of pvc piping all over New England looking like a teenage boy because it was mandatory all women kept their hair short, or shaved. I also experienced, a lot of pain, degradation, humiliation, and abuse, that only the other 9 children that were part of this group can, or could possibly understand. But we all have a cross or ten to bare in this life. And this is one of my 9.

why am i sensing hostility towards roxy in batlords posts when you two used to seem like buddies. i swear there's some covert batlord vs roxy beef brewing
oh and coincidentally frankenstein was the first novel i ever read on my own for pleasure. i thought it was ok... i liked the concept and all but i didn't go crazy over it. i read the grapes of wrath directly after that and that's what actually made me learn to love reading. |
