Your help would be much appreciated at that time, and I will keep that in mind if I run into any issue before-hand. Things seem to be going smoothly and although I haven't really sorted out a category list, I have an idea of which ones will be included in the default list that's been used for years.

A member specific award isn't the greatest idea because it doesn't really leave much area for competition. I do think it's good in theory, but default winners aren't always fun or fair.

A journal series award is a great idea. Little beats the thrill of seeing a new post appear in a thread with a feature you've been following, and knowing the post will be the latest awesome installment!

An interesting humorous award would be "Ninja Poster of the Year". Someone who sneaks in their replies and causes consternation and editing.
