No, because I'm doing my usual job on those two series, whereas this is a sort of a bit of fun, Batty and I arguing and taking the piss out of each other. It's not --- as far as I'm concerned anyway --- a very serious venture. Whereas in TCP I'll be waffling on at length about each episode, here we'll do a short synopsis and then go at it hammer and tongs.

Also, the "Star Drek" journal is a joint effort, whereas the other two are going to be my own projects, and I don't think Batty would want to be involved. The ideas were conceived long before this anyway; I just haven't had the time to put them down on paper as it were. But soon...

I don't follow the Couch Potato that much for the simple reason I'm not a TV series kind of person, even though I do of course enjoy some series. I followed Babylon 5 in the CP, but as I couldn`t obtain the second season I gave up on it, but your writing on it was the perfect match to really get a great understanding of each episode.

Now if you do anything of Trek in there then I'll have no problem following it, as it's easy for me to view most of Trek.

What's the general opinion on here about Farscape? Always thought it looked interesting but know practically nothing about it, is it worth viewing?

I always thought it was a perfectly serviceable sci-fi show, but not anything too special.

Oh I love Farscape! If you can get past the fact that one of the characters, well two, are puppets, it's a hell of a ride. A great series and well worth watching.

It's a shame you're not a regular on the Couch. But we do more than just TV you know. Movies, specials; in fact, there's a real doozy coming up on the movie front once I get Metal Month finished. I think you'd enjoy it.

But did I hear you say you didn't get past season 2 of Babylon 5? Oh man! That's where all the good stuff is! You owe it to yourself to get to see that. If you want I'll try to upload some episodes for you from my discs. You can't miss this, really.

You realize how much that's going to cost and how many seasons there are? None of this stuff is cheap unless you get lucky and pick them up on offer or second hand.

Besides Star Trek, I think you might like The Avengers (UK TV series). You would probably find Steed's assistances 60s' chic.

TBH I couldn't get into all the Star Trek spin offs. Besides Star Trek (the original series) as my favorite, I liked Star Trek: The Next Generation - I can't recall seeing every one. I also liked the beginning of Star Trek: Enterprise, I thought it was promising but I loss track of the series. I saw a few Star Trek: Voyager and like them. If you get pass the fact that Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway sounds like Katharine Hepburn you would probably like it. The least liked for me was Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

If I were to rate the TV series in importance to watch (with 1 being most important) it would be:
  1. Star Trek (the original series)
  2. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  3. Star Trek: Voyager
  4. Star Trek: Enterprise
  5. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

I asked my brother (who is more of a Trekkie than me) and his list is different:
  1. The original cast movies w/ Capt. Kirk
  2. Star Trek (the original series)
  3. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
  4. Star Trek: The Next Generation
  5. Star Trek: Voyager
  6. Star Trek: Enterprise
  7. The movies w/ Capt. Picard

He's already married. To T'Pring. Mind you, she's cheating on him with Stonn, so you may have a shot. He'd have to fight me though...

Also, you know all the Star Trek series are available on Netflix?

My list runs thusly:

TOS
Next Generation
DS9
Voyager/Enterprise (neither gets top slot; you know how I feel about one and I never finished the other)
The movies don't come into my list. Some are good, some bad, some woeful. I've only seen the first of the new movies so can't really comment on those.
