A few different sites attempt to resolve this stubbornly persistent question. They each get it right, but a picture says a thousand words, so have a look at Bob's wordpress blog entry featuring comparison shots of each.

The article I sport most often is a Regency cravat - an element of formal attire which I usually wear with a gentleman's frock, a beaver fur topper, and a walking stick.

Pour maple syrup on them. All breakfast foods taste better with maple syrup poured all over them like bacon, eggs, and home fries, even scrapple and pork roll ... if they're available in your area.

Oh no please do not put maple syrup on grits! If you're going to put anything on top of grits, I'd suggest a fried egg.

Innerspaceboy, can you sew?

I'm definitely a huge music nerd.
I've also been interested in science pretty much all my life.
But I dislike or am indifferent to Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, I've never read a comic book in my life (although I dig series and animated movies based on comics), I mostly dislike anime, I'm not interested in gaming, computers and programming, don't care much about collecting or generally owning stuff (apart from hoarding a gigantic music collection)...
So I'd probably utter a hesitant 'no'.

All my nerd credentials are video game related. Other than that I like science..

I was a huge nerd in my youth but I've grown out of it..
-I used to write game mechanic articles for YuGiOh tcg, and was an official judge.
-In my early teens, I hosted a server for Ultima Online and programmed custom weapons, skills, etc..

I don't think I belong in this thread..
