People say "God forbid!" after? I have only heard it before something as a pre-cursor. "Hope you make it home safe. God forbid"

"Wake up people"
Whenever people say that I just assume that they're as dumb as I am.

In sports "[insert player] has really come into his own this season".
That is a really really difficult thing to do, I'll give you that, but wtf does it have to do with sports fercryinoutloud. |

It is similar to God willing but I guess hostile against bad things happening. Just an awkward way of saying safe travels but yeah I've heard it several times.

Pluto isn't a fucking planet. Deal with it. When it was found, it was immediately classified as a planet, it was thought to be alone in it's orbit (without any further research at all), it was thought to be roughly earth size (again a total guess with no point of reference at all), we learned over the years that all of those were wrong, and corrected an incorrect previous conclusion as new evidence was acquired. It's called science, dammit.
Thank goodness the "protests" are over but all the backlash was born of ignorance. Deliberate ignorance. That annoys the fuck out of me. |
