Doomsday theories
So, how do you think the world is gonna end?
The apocalypse? Global warming? WW3? What is your doomsday theory? i personally believe the world is gonna end with the earth colliding with another planet, you know like the nibiru theory. but i don't view this as a prophecy that is surely to happen, i view it as a realistic possible outcome. ok, let's say we spot a planet 10 times bigger than earth is on a collision course with earth, surely we will spot it but can we stop it from happening? (im kinda seriously asking) im pretty dumb when it comes to science, i know if we spot the planet it will be light years away so we'll get a heads up but let's say it comes in a 100 yrs, will we be ready for it? i know it sounds like a pretty dumb theory, but hey it could happen.

In about four billion years our sun will nova. By that time our continents will look totally different than they do now, and humans will possibly have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

BTW if it was possible for another planet to collide with ours it would (and in fact did in our early solar system, that's how the moon was formed) have already happened.

At most I think the most advance weapons we have as a species can destroy just the surface of an entire city or two upon impact. Something ten times bigger than Earth would probably just be the end of us. Even if we managed to escape to Mars or something, I'd imagine the debris would just spray out like shrapnel and destroy everything within trillions of trillions of trillions of miles or whatever. Yeah, we'd be doomed.
Now, if we're talking about the end of the planet I'd wager on something exactly like that happen. They say our sun is slowly imploding... or exploding... or doing something dooming to our solar system in a hella long ass time. So, if nothing else before then happens to Earth there's that to look forward to. But, I'd imagine a giant asteroid or something would happen before that. End of human beings or life as we know it on Earth? Hard to say. It seems like every generation has it's apocalyptic fright- WW3, global warming, AIDS... We've proven ourselves to be a pretty resilient species despite our petty struggles amongst ourselves. We lasted through the Ice Age and could probably do it again, perhaps with more ease next time around. I feel like maybe a giant, continent-splitting earthquake is plausible. Who knows. /endramble

@WD
It's wthvr your personal theory is, it could be humanity or the planet, it doesn't even have to make sense lol just whtvr you think is gonna be the end. Quote:
So there is absolutely no possibility of a planet crashing with earth in my lifetime?

I think there will be a nuclear warfare around the planet and I will hide with the smartest and kick ass people who can survive the nuclear winter and then create small towns when it's safe radiation wise. I will learn how to use weapons like plasma guns and sniper rifles so I can help protect my crew. Of course there will be drugs that get me ****ed up in a good way to help being in a post nuclear environment.
Okay everyone knows I'm describing Fallout with poetic licence. I need to stop. Haha.

Most likely it will be some kind of sickness, hopefully not my #SWAG virus from Plague Inc., that shit was nasty, but it at least killed off the human population of Earth within 1 1/2 years, so not a lot of suffering.
