Our reptilian overlords will finally have their periods and go on a bombing spree before calming the **** down and regretting it

The Batlord will tell a really funny joke and the universe will implode due to the ultimate paradox.

Could end many ways. Nuclear war. A super volcano. A severe ice age. Depletion of essentail resources. Mass pollution. Celestial collisions. Maybe even hostile alien invasion. A change in the Earth's magnetic field and the subsequent exposure to solar radiation. The Sun going supernova - although our Milky Way galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy are predicted to collide before that. Also, the Moon is slowly moving further away and will eventually fly out into space with pretty catastophic consequences - like slowing the Earths spin thus causing it to lose stability and wobble, which would play havoc with the seasons and thus all animal and plant life.

Our sun will eventually nova but it is NOWHERE CLOSE to massive enough to supernova Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 07-02-2014 at 01:01 PM. |

My bad, yeah, nova. When you consider all the ways we can be wiped out, and throw into the equation many other ways which we aren't aware of, it makes you realise how precarious life is. Might as well enjoy it while we can.

As for nuclear war, we could wipe*ourselves* out but the planet would continue. Also, the "collision" between the two galaxies will be closer to a merging, there is a scant likelihood that more than a relatively minuscule number of star collisions will occur due to the vast distances involved between celestial objects. Of course anything in the path of the super-massive black holes at the center of each galaxy is in big trouble. Also, the collision/merging of the galaxies is predicted to occur about the same time that the sun is likely to nova. |
