There are two different types of trolls. The bad kind of troll, that just insults people or acts like a complete retard, and the good type of troll, who's a little more subtle, and may even appear to be a nice, intelligent person. All you have to do is post something controversial for the sole purpose of getting people riled up, and you can be a successful troll. Of course, sometimes it's alright to do a little of the first one. It's okay to be (fake) angry at times or to act a little stupid. Just don't take it overboard. Anyways, thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you like my posts. |

I just don't like malicious trolling. Prime example, the forum I just left. Things considered funny were:
Following someone who had a miscarriage all over the boards and posting a picture of an aborted fetus every time this person posted. Tracking down the relatives or significant others of members and harassing them nonstop, or making up lies about that person. Gimmick posting as a pedophile. Changing their username to "username's dead mommy'' in the instance of a member who was grieving a recent death. People who engage in that type of behavior suck, as do the people laughing at it. Not cool, at all. |

![]() i agree, the things said for shock value are getting a little extreme now. And they're said with no taste, you can get away with alot if you word it the right away, you don't really need to hide your trollish side if you got one just keep it in check. For some reason im thinking of that smurf that gives out the exploding gifts, i forgot his name, Assh*le smurf i think he's called, always laughing at other ppl's expense. But if we hate this trolls, why do we become them? essentially we embrace the same thing just to a different degree, but i guess that's makes all the difference.

Yeah, it really was. I modded a couple of subforums and got threats every time i moved a post or infracted someone. Threats of rape were my last straw. Everyone hid behind free speech and there was this attitude of "feelings are for ***gots", and the admins were so afraid of backlash that they never put a stop to it.
