You probably don't have to worry about any foods that are supposedly carcinogenic. For one, a direct link to cancer would result in the immediate removal of a product from stores from lawsuits or the threat of lawsuits. Something can be minutely cancer-causing while still having a larger net benefit for you. Use sunlight as an example: it causes skin cancer, but would you use that information to avoid going outside? Also, browning starches is a chemical reaction that results in acrylamide, which is carcinogenic, so if you've ever eaten toast or crispy french fries, then those were cancer-causing foods on a very miniscule level.

i guess if people have been doing it their whole life, they'll continue. i wonder if they'll ever take sugar out of the drinks and cereal on the shelves too. i havent drink any of them sports drinks in so long because of the sugar. its liquid candy lol
Word. Ja there's really no reason to ever consume sugar, especially at the levels that thy have in sports drinks.

I guess that makes sense about if they were direct causing, then they would take off the shelf. but how hard is that to prove? i heard you needed to always be eating granola, and I was. So I cut it out completely with finding out about the sugar too.

I know about the browning starches stuff on hotdogs or burgers from a grill or fries. I dont mind it because I dont eat them all the time.

Very easy when it's a direct and legitimate link, like in cigarettes.

The news is awful at reporting on science. Here's some actual scientific research on glyphosate and the cancer risks that it poses

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4866614/

Quote:

Bias and confounding may account for observed associations. Meta-analysis is constrained by few studies and a crude exposure metric, while the overall body of literature is methodologically limited and findings are not strong or consistent. Thus, a causal relationship has not been established between glyphosate exposure and risk of any type of LHC.

I mixed broccoli, edamame, and string beans into my mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes are basically delicious thick gravy for just about any food.
