I decided to try my luck with sauce in a slow cooker. Here's the recipe, in case you were curious.

I do, by proxy. My Mom's garden spews tomatoes at an alarming rate. She puts many in jars for me to use in sauce down the road. Her Juliet tomatoes, as well as the cherry tomatoes, they're just delicious.
