I used to eat paper all the time. It was more about chewing but I'd still swallow it.

Did a cooking experiment today: I made chicken biryani, but with those artificial vegetarian protien bits instead. The curry was good, but jesus christ I missed the chicken

(this is a cry for help. Any good suggestions for veggie alternatives to chicken in curry will be much appreciated)

Paneer is a very popular one too. You can make paneer yourself.

My lady friend uses these for a variety of things that call for chicken:

I've had them, and they're close to the real thing.

^oh cool, I'll try that
@cuthbert I really want to make a potato curry! I'm not sure it would go very well with biryani. I had no idea you can make your own paneer, any idea if that's difficult? I'd be interested in doing that

It's piss easy, just need milk and lemon juice I think, and a cheese cloth. I haven't had curry with paneer in it but it's very popular and a lot of people who don't eat meat do that. I've had paneer tills though and it was great.

Potato will be fine BTW, it's served in the biryani at a place near me but with lamb in as well, so just don't use lamb lolz.

Could try lentils as well BTW.
