Some hash browns w/garlic pepper and chives, buttered grape jelly toast, and cheesy scrambled eggs using just butter, eggs, and cheese and cracked and scrambled in the pan. I heat the butter, take it off the heat, then add the eggs and cheese and mix well then put it over med high heat while folding constantly, taking it off the heat every so often if it starts cooking too quick, then finishing on the plate. A good semi-flat wooden spoon (round with a flat nose) works well to work the sides and bottom of the pan.
Nice and fluffy sharp cheddar cheesy goodness. My camera sucks btw

I also made some of the best beef stew I've had in a while. It started out as a pot roast, but I used a lot of broth and about a lb of mushrooms, so after I let it go 8 hrs on low, there was quite a bit of juices. So, I separated the broth (consisting of one can of beef broth and 1/3 stick of butter) from the rest of it (beef, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms) into a sauce pan and added just a bit of flour to thicken, then some Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, then strained it back into the pot after shredding the beef a bit. The beef roast was also plugged with garlic and rubbed with salt/pepper/thyme and the seared as the very first steps. The only thing I missed as an after thought was a bay leaf.
It was good yesterday, but after sitting all night in the fridge, the flavors have melded together a bit more and it's really incredible. I just wanna bathe in the broth/gravy.

I'm using this lockdown to teach myself a lot about spicing food Indian style and it's amazing. Biryani spicing is particularly nice because you also add cloves, cinnamon and anise which gives it a really warm flavour
