Even though coconut oil doesn't really taste like coconut, it somehow retains that essence of disgusting.

This all sounds like a bit more effort than I'm willing to put into a pbj tbh. Just throwing the bread into a toaster and waiting a couple minutes to make your pbj is literally almost more effort than I am willing to put in

Literally how much better is it than just toasting the bread before you make a pbj? I love me a pbj so I'm open to being converted. This coconut oil **** sounds like a middle class attack though.

It makes it a little more desert-like since it heats up the PB&j more evenly, and grilling with butter has a much different texture and taste than toasted bread.
You're a professional chef, you should know this.
