My constitution. Once had to drink green water full of floating bits (we christened it 'cholera water' ) pulled up from a well in Egypt when we foolishly ran out of water hiking up Mount Sinai. The next day everyone had the sh*ts, but I was fine.

We didn't dig the well. Bloody hell, that woulda killed us. It was 51 degrees in the shade that year, hottest summer in decades. We only had to lower an old bucket down into an existing well then drink the filth.

I think she was talking about shitting holes, although I wouldn't be surprised if that "well" actually was one.
