The Revolutionary Concept of "The Lounge"

I must say, it really is something to see a board full with honest opinions and diverse people. We're in 2014, and this is a really revolutionary concept. So stay a while in the lounge, maybe even have a drink? But not too much.

I've found that this is a place where we can all sit in the lounge with a small drink, and share interesting, insightful ideas about our differences and beliefs. I for one will be staying on this forum for a long while.

It's just a legendary concept.. "The Lounge". I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this won a Pultzer Prize. Absolutely extraordinary work!

What are your thoughts on this subject?

Yes. But what's your point?

Maybe you could start your own forum.

Why would I start my own forum when I just praised the concept of this forums "Lounge"?

Maybe you could consider calling it Banter Banter too.

I'm actually studying for my freshman diploma university graduates degree in arts and music. I've already written a review for I'm With You.

So that means that you're a fan of

Read my review, and let me know what you think.

I never understood this. Why would anyone be upset about others posting in the lounge. And to take it one step further and post about it in the lounge. Seems like a waste of time.

People can post 'til their heart's content in The Lounge.
Also, I didn't start the thread, so I can't really answer
outside The Lounge can I? You're right tho about the "waste of time."

That was kind of my point about answering outside the lounge, why answer at all if you want to be the music in banter. I do agree about the waste of time analogy we can agree on that.

I think there are some relevant things to talk about in the lounge at times. I also enjoy talking about music that sparks my interest so I certainly agree that should be the focus of the site. I have always enjoyed your contributions on the site with regard to music so I hope I haven't come across as someone being snide. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and every opinion deserves to be acknowledged.

Some intense studying going on here. I'll be sure to continue my university research.

I feel like I should be drunk to properly appreciate this thread.

Trollheart 04-14-2014 02:55 PM

Am I just being thick here (would certainly not be the first time!) and missing something? This new guy comes in and says complimentary things about the Lounge, I'm assuming not sarcastically though I recognise that could be the intent. I'm just taking it that it isn't, as otherwise I'll end up looking like a bigger idiot than I already am (is that possible even?), and everyone starts being nasty and snide to him?

Weren't we only last week whining about how newbies are not made welcome? Is this any way to welcome someone? Is this a joke I'm not getting? Why is everyone jumping on the guy when it would appear all he is doing is saying what a great idea the Lounge is??

As far as rostasi's comments go, I like to buzz in and out of the Lounge but I also take part in the musical discussions, if there are any that interest me, or maybe start a thread I think people might like. As you all know, most of the rest of the time I'm either in my various journals, running the Prog Rock Album Club, or recently, trying to resurrect the Weekly Mixtape. I think my own activity here speaks for itself and I have no problem with the Lounge, as long as that's not where people ONLY go. It's nice to kick back and leave the intense and sometimes heated/stupid arguments about music for a bit and just chill. What's wrong with that?

Why would anyone look down on someone for hanging out in the Lounge? and why is a concerted effort being made to make Hagrid unwelcome or at the very least feel surely uncomfortable?

Hagrid 04-14-2014 04:27 PM

Wow, we have a lot of pussy in this thread.

I'm being entirely serious about "The Lounge" though, a truly evocative place for diverse individuals.

You missed all of the previous "banter" and we're all
having fun with dear ol' Hagrid in his various guises
(who reminds me a bit of our friendly ghost "Casper"
who left a while back but who was an irritating git).

Anyway, TH(e) man, just pour yerself a
stiff one in "da Lounge" and don't take
it so seriously. Nobody's piling on dear
ol' Hagrid even if he is a bit obtuse at times.

OK then have fun. Guess I walked in at the middle of the movie. Where's the lady with the ice creams? Whaddya mean, you don't sell ice cream no more? What kind of cinema is this? :shycouch:
