I've always been skeptical of and fascinated by the frontal lobotomy. I read a memoir (I think the guy's name was Howard Dully) about how this dude had a lobotomy as a kid because his parents thought he was a little asshole, and how it destroyed his brain and his behavior gradually became worse. Quote:
Ed Gein was one of the worst, right next to Jeffrey Dahmer - both emotionally stunted and not terribly bright, both with the taste for human flesh and fashions from human remains. Absolutely disgusting. Albert Fish, a bit brighter and more calculated in his line of terror, was ultimately worse than both of these freaks - he preyed on children. He once dismembered and ate a child, then wrote a letter to the child's parents, describing how he achieved this (in a sickeningly detailed manner). Ted Bundy is probably my favorite. He was incredibly bright, well educated, well spoken, good looking, had a lot of friends and close acquaintances, and yes, he volunteered at a suicide hotline, staying up nightly trying to save those who couldn't save themselves. Ted Bundy was a living contradiction in several ways. He was charming, though truly depraved. He was gentle, though shockingly violent. In the end he practically turned himself in - then served as his own lawyer. Ann Rule's "The Stranger Beside Me" is a fascinating read, too. Though Ted really had his shit together in terms of organized killing, there was none more sinister and calculating than H. H. Holmes, who rapidly hired and fired several contractors to build a sort of terror hotel. He was the only one who knew the layout of the building. He used this building to systematically torture, kill, and dispose of a confirmed 9 people - though he explicitly confessed to 27 murders). It's been said that there's an estimated 30-50 active serial killers in the US at any given time. Literally anyone you know could be killing behind closed doors, and that shit is terrifying. |
The guy that made these videos got up and drank every day until he died. So this is what he did besides drinking... yeah... |

Ed Gein is my favorite serial killer.
Not gonna lie, I'd pay a pretty penny for a lamp made of human skin and not ask any questions. |

For any serial killer fans:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TB8SxzEJTE Harold Shipman. 250+ murders. A compelling watch. Also watched a documentary on the Washington Snipers. Fucking mental what happened there. |
250, are you ****ing kidding me? I will watch that when I go to my folks place next week.

He got away with it cos he was a GP injecting his victims. I won't spoil it but it is a very entertaining watch. |

Also I could be mistaken, but I think I remember reading that Albert Fish had a habit of sticking strange objects (such as needles) into his ass. |

Can anyone recommend some serial killer documentaries?
I've seen most of the ones involving the big hitters like Dahmer, Ted Bundy etc. Myra Hindley & Ian Brady are some sick twats. I remember reading one criminal psychologist reckoned the police searches Myra Hindley took them on were just fake searches for the last body as a 'victory' salute to Brady who was in prison. They basically played mind games with Winnie (mother of the child who hasn't been found). http://chrisukorg.files.wordpress.co...pg?w=630&h=417 That picture is creepy. |

The murder that got him caught took place in the parking lot of the Oak Grove, OR Denny's, across McLoughlin Boulevard from where I was working that night. |
Steven Grant buried his wife's dismembered body parts right near my ma's place. I disc golf there all the time! Still haven't found any human remains to add to my display case though...

The thought of being eaten alive by an animal is another thing that seems quite creepy to me.

What makes that story so chilling is that you would never expect that anyone in that position of authority would not be mentally sound. Expect the unexpected. |
The worst things on this thread by far are Ed Gein, Albert Fish and the dog sex guide.
All pretty traumatising. |

Not sure what could be much worse than Westley Allan Dodd, who knows how long that might've gone on if that little boy in the theater hadn't shrieked holy murder... |
