I pluck the little tiny hairs from the tragus of my ears with my fingers. Sometimes I use tweezers. Usually when I'm lost in thought I have my thumb and index finger grabbing away at my ears.

I totally do that. Some of mine are not so tiny and I consider it grooming rather than a bad habit. Middle age problems

Most of the time I'm either not thinking about it when I'm doing it or trying frantically to grab ahold of a hair lol

The reason this is because I am double jointed. I get quite obsessive about making sure I click all my fingers!
I'm always thinking about the joints I can't crack. My knees, my elbows, my jaw, and my shoulders. It bothers me to no end sometimes. I actually had to stop cracking one of my toes though. The other day I tried and it bent so far to the side that I was convinced I'd dislocated it. I hadn't, but that **** looked nasty and I'm scared to try it again.

It's interesting because since I was a little girl I have always creaked my knees and arms naturally from pushing on something to get me off the chair or floor. I believe that's what inspired me to crackle my knuckles. Mom says I'll get arthritis but there isn't any evidence to suggest people get it from doing it ackording to what I've read online. I hope your toe feels better Barry, my little toe is crazy by the way I can bend it lol.

I've checked online too cause if it's possible to get arthritis from that then I'm definitely getting it. It sounds like you just get temporary inflammation of the joints at most though. I can attest to that too.

Well technically arthritis is inflamation of the joints, its not a disease. I may get it as my Nana does but because its natural for me to crack everywhere I may not. Either way just keep active and hopefully you won't experience it. I'm on heavy meds which make my legs or arms stiff and sore when I wake up, not cool.

Edit: start taking joint medication ASAP as it will keep your joints less inflamed.

Temporary though. As in you'll be a'ight in the long run. And it's not like a problem or anything, just every so often I crack my knuckles a bit too much and one of my fingers will feel a little sore for a while.

What's your preferred method with your fingers? I always bend them right first, then left, and if I feel like there's anything left then I pull it back. Lately though I've been just pulling them straight out like I'm trying to pull them out of their sockets. It doesn't get as many cracks, but it feels more satisfying when you do.

Aw man, I just cracked my thumb just by bending it. Didn't even have to touch it. That's the best. You can feel that little bit of resistance and you know it'll crack if you bend it just every so slightly more, but you don't do it yet. You leave it like that for a moment to savor it. Then, BOOM!
