Most people are taking the bad ones in stride and laughing it off.
I think BD is the only person that took it seriously.

Yeah, it's easy to say "laugh it off" when it's not you that's being insulted...
I personally don't find it funny in the least. Nor clever. I know you're not saying that, but I don't think it should be laughed off really.

I got a bad one as well but I don't care about it. I'm not saying she shouldn't be offended it's her prerogative if she chooses to be offended by an insult or not.

I wasn't sure for a sec, but it turned out to be yarn art on the wall behind you. |

I think anonymous hate mail is pretty offensive, especially in this case when it is masquerading as something friendly. Who does not open a Love Machine message with a little tingle of anticipation? To then receive an insult is like finding a bug in your food - a complete reversal of your expectations. So I fully support BD who is a well-liked contributor here and doesn`t deserve to be treated in such a disrespectul way.
For the guys who just laugh it off, I`d like to say, Well done - you`ve found a way to minimize the sting in these messages. Unfortunately, the expression "laugh it off" might give the impression that sending anonymous hate messages is humorous in some way, but it isn`t - it`s really creepy and always has been.
