Funny, I could have sworn our elections have been run on an electoral system since the beginning. And that's what Bush won. So he wins. I'm not sure who I want. A guy who doesn't seem to know a lot, or a guy who signs up for our armed forces and then doesn't want to go fight.

How about his stance on *** marriage? But then wait, who's putting money in his political pocket? Lesbian/*** organizations. That's just one instance. Like Bush said a little while ago in regards to Kerry, "He spent two decades in Congress; he's built up quite a record" continuing with "In fact, Senator Kerry has been in Washington long enough to take both sides on just about every issue." Funny how that works... |

Bush got fewer votes, but won anyway because the Supreme Court blocked the recounts that might have changed the outcome of the election. So by any reasonable system, Bush loses, but in that flawed system he's the president. That's not an election anymore.

The Supreme Court didn't stop it until after many weeks of looking over the vote in Florida. The Electoral System is part of USA's past, live with it. The only reason it was stopped is because Gore saw that in the end he did not have enough votes in Florida for it to be switched, so he wanted a revote claiming "old people did not know who they were voting for". That is just crazy talk. And if you wanna remember things from last election, if Gore had won his HOME STATE, he would be the President. Thanks, and have a great day.
