I'll make it simple for you boys...

Forget the "still" part altogether... A compliment (ie: "hot") with an attatched insult (ie: "kinda"), has the same effect as some do-gooder, kumbaya piece of legislation, that has a bunch of "**** you, constituency" riders hitchhiking on it... Defeats the purpose, eh??

What about "more hot than not"? Is that acceptable?

I can get that. I think of "kinda" as the perfect balance though, it shows that you do indeed want to see what's between her legs, and yet you don't want to give her so much confidence that she thinks you're more into her than she is into you.

You're overcomplicating things. If you only want to sleep with her, compliment her. If you want to be in a relationship with her, just be straight up with her. It's that simple.
